    Viceroy Washington DC offers a seasonal rooftop pool for registered overnight guests to utilize. The official pool season is Memorial Day through the end of September (weather permitting).

  • What airports are nearby?

    Cancun international airport is less than 45 minutes away by car. Most mayor US cities have direct flights to Cancun.

  • What time does my events need to conclude?

    If you are doing an exclusive buyout (renting the property’s 41 villas) you do not have a limit. If you are hosting a smaller wedding, the party must end at 11 pm.

  • Is there anyone to assist us on my wedding date?

    Yes, Viceroy Riviera Maya has its own wedding coordinator on site that will be with you from the moment you arrive to the resort and all throughout your wedding activities.

  • Are accommodations required to host a wedding at Viceroy Riviera Maya?

    Yes, accommodations are required. The number of blocked rooms to host your wedding with us depends on the size of the wedding and the season.

  • Do I need to provide a deposit to secure my date?

    To secure a date a signed contract and deposit are needed. Then one month prior to your arrival date, the events and accommodations have to be paid in full.

  • Can you recommend vendors that the hotel endorses?

    Yes, we will be happy to provide with our recommended vendors. If you decide to bring your own vendors, these have to be pre-approved by your wedding coordinator.

  • Is it less expensive to host a wedding during winter or summer?

    Summer is low season, allowing us to be more flexible.

  • Can food and beverage be brought from outside?

    All food and beverage must be provided by Viceroy Riviera Maya. Corkage fees may apply for specialty bottles brought from outside with previous approval of your wedding coordinator.

  • What does a typical wedding at Viceroy Riviera Maya costs?

    The cost varies depending on many factors, including the number of guests, the number of nights you stay and special requests.

  • Are there any consulates in the vicinity?

    In Cancun there are consulates from The US, Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Japan, Argentina, Norway, Belgium, Belize, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Cuba, Denmark, Finland, UK, Guatemala, Holland, Poland, Switzerland and Sweden. 

  • Is the water safe for drinking? Is bottled water served at the hotel?

    Water is potable but we do not recommend it for drinking. Purified water is served at the hotel and provided at no cost in the guest room. 

  • What are the locks and additional security devices on the guestroom doors?

    All guestroom doors are locked from inside, there is a safety deposit box in each villa. 

  • Is there cell phone coverage at the property?

    There is cell phone coverage at the property mainly at the main pool and by the lobby area. Guests must verify with their US carriers if their services include reception in foreign cities which most of them do. 

  • Is there high-speed Internet access?

    High speed wire and wireless internet is available in all the villas and at the restaurant area at no extra charge. 

  • What are the ADA accessibility features at the hotel?

    Our top attractions in the area are Tulum and Chichen Itza archaeological sites.

    Yes, our concierge can schedule a wide selection of personalized activities like scuba lessons, parasailing, jet skis rentals, yoga and hikes. 

  • What type of yoga is available at the property?

    Yoga class is available on request by a certified teacher who practices Vynasa Flow, Hatha and Prenatal Yoga. Guests are offered daily yoga from 10am to 11am at an extra charge and previous reservation. 

  • What is the water temperature of the pools?

    Water in the pool is 80F. 

  • How safe is the swimming at the beach?

    Our beach is perfect for swimming & snorkeling there are a few rocks on the shore so we offer diving shoes to get into the water.

  • May guests make special requests for dietary restrictions?

    Yes, if they are allergic or restricted for something in special our Executive Chef will offer something aside the menu.

  • May special gifts be ordered in advance by either the guests or their friends?

    Special requests can be ordered via our concierge or front desk.

  • Is room service available?

    Room service is available. A breakfast, lunch and dinner menu is available in each room. 

  • May guests make special requests for wine or other alcoholic beverages?

    Yes, this request can be done in advance through our reservations department or concierge.

    Our Concierge can arrange roundtrip private transportation is available from Cancun International Airport (approximately $300 USD + taxes).

  • How far is the resort from the airport?

    The resort is 40 miles south of Cancun International Airport (CUN).

    Early check-in or late check-out is based on availability and an extra charge may apply.

  • What is the recommended currency?

    Mexican Pesos or American dollars are accepted everywhere. 

  • Are there welcome amenities in the lobby for arriving guests?

    Yes, the resort generally provides a refreshing welcome beverage as well as cool towels upon arrival.

  • What is the appropriate dress on property?

    Barefoot is acceptable in most facilities during the day and night. However, guests are to wear sandals or flip flops as well as t-shirts (sleeves or sleeveless) when visiting restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 

  • How far is the Resort from beach?

    Viceroy Riviera Maya is on the beach with Villas ranging directly beachfront to Villas in the jungle a few moments from the beach. The pool, restaurant, bar and lounge all overlook the ocean and are only steps away.

  • Does Viceroy Riviera Maya welcome pets?

    Pets are welcome subject to a pet fee of $50 per night (meals are additional) and pets must weigh under 20 lbs.

  • What are my options for parking at the hotel?

    Valet parking is available at the hotel for $60 plus parking tax (electric vehicle parking is $73 plus parking tax). 

    Santa Monica does not allow overnight parking on the streets. All hotels in Santa Monica charge for overnight parking.

  • What time is check-in and check-out?

    Check in time is at 3:00 PM and check out is at 11:00 AM. We cannot guarantee either early or late check-in, but as with all special requests we will always note it in your reservation.

    Please note there is a half day rate (half of best available rate) for staying in your room until 3:00 PM. Checking out after 3:00 PM warrants a full day rate based on hotel availability.

  • Is there a minimum age for check-in?

    Please advise the hotel that you are bringing a pet prior to arrival. When the pet is a service animal, please notify when making a reservation, and the fee will be waived, and proof of documentation is not required.

  • What are some good kid activities in the area?

    With the Santa Monica Pier being only a short walk away, families can enjoy the aquarium as well as great rides, including the Pacific Wheel (the world's ONLY solar-powered Ferris wheel!). Another great idea is to walk down to the boardwalk, rent a bike from Perry's Cafe and go for a nice sunset ride along the shore.

    Our year-round heated pool and three soaking tubs are located on the property and available to hotel guests. The water temperature of the pools varies based upon the season. Generally, the pool is 90-93F, and the hot tubs are 101-102F.

    The pool at Viceroy Snowmass is typically open daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, but hours may vary seasonally.

  • Does Viceroy Snowmass offer complimentary breakfast?

    No, breakfast is not complimentary, but guests can dine at on-site restaurants offering a variety of breakfast option.

  • What is the restaurant cancellation policy?

    All cancellations must be made within 48 hours of reservation for parties of 5 or more. Parties up to 4 guests may cancel up to 24 hours ahead of time. Cancellations or no-show guests within the cancellation policy will be accessed a $50 per person fee.

  • Do all restaurant reservations require a credit card to hold the reservation?

    During the winter holiday season (December 17 through January 10) all reservations no matter the size will require a credit card to hold the reservation. Cancellation fees will apply to no-shows or cancelled reservations within 24 hours for parties up to 4 and within 48 hours for parties 5 or more.

  • May guests make special requests for wine or other alcoholic beverages?

    Yes, based upon availability and Colorado laws. 

  • Are there private dining options available?

    For large parties 10 and above, we highly recommend being in a private room. There is a $750 room rental for each private room. Cancellations within the cancellation period will be assessed the room rental fee as well as the individual per person fee.

  • If have a large party, how do I make a reservation?

    Parties of 5 and above may call the restaurant to make the reservation. A credit card is required to hold the reservation. All cancellations must be made within 48 hours. Cancellations or no-show guests within 48 hours will be accessed at a $50 per person fee.

  • Is room service available?

Guaranteed private transfers, all transfers from the private terminal of the Aspen Airport, and transfers arranged inside of 24 hours prior to arrival are available at additional charge.

    Yes, guests or friends may order special gifts or requests in advance by contacting the hotel. Any dietary restrictions will be accommodated, as long as the hotel is notified prior.

    Viceroy Los Cabos is pleased to provide private transfers for both guests arriving at San Jose del Cabo or the private airport located in Cabo San Lucas. Our concierge team can assist with arrangements.

  • How far is the resort from the airport?

    The resort is 13 miles south (approx. 25 minutes) from San Jose del Cabo International Airport (SJD).

  • Is early check-in or late check-out possible?

  • How long would it take to get to Downtown San Jose del Cabo or to Cabo San Lucas?

    Downtown San Jose del Cabo is approximately 7 minutes away by taxi or 10 minutes by complimentary bicycle. Cabo San Lucas is approximately 25 minutes away by taxi.

  • What should I know about electricity in Cabo San Lucas?

    Mexico uses 110V electricity, just like the United States and Canada. If you are coming from Europe or Asia, you will need to obtain the proper adapters, which may include a three-prong to two-prong adapter.

  • What is the recommended currency?

    Mexican Pesos or US Dollars.

    Due to recent local regulations, the acceptance of US Dollars in cash is now restricted across Mexico. Payments with credit/debit cards remain unaffected. Please provide arrangements to settle your accounts and other expenses with a credit card. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause our guests. For security purposes, third-party booking will only be processed via wire transfer and not via credit card. Guests must present their credit card with a valid photo ID upon check-in at the hotel.

  • What is the weather like in Cabo San Lucas?

    Cabo San Lucas is typically warm and sunny throughout the year, with an average temperature of 78°F (26°C). Occasional rains can be expected in the stormier months from August to October. Winters are generally cooler and nights can be chilly on the water. Late summer is hot, with an average daytime temperature in the high 90°F (32°C.) and warm nights.

  • Do I need immunization or vaccinations before traveling to the area?

    There are no requirements for obtaining immunizations or vaccinations before traveling to Cabo San Lucas.

  • Is the area safe?

    San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas are safe, welcoming areas. You can walk around with no cause for concern.

  • In which part of Mexico is the resort located?

    The resort is located just moments from downtown San Jose del Cabo. The cities of Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo are often referred to as Los Cabos. Los Cabos is located at the base of the Baja peninsula in the state of Baja California Sur on the far western coast of Mexico, where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean.

  • Can I buy Cuban cigars? Can I take them back with me?

    Yes, you can buy them, but you cannot take them back to the United States. If you are returning to Canada, it is allowed, but be aware of counterfeits.

  • Can drones be used on the property?

    Drones are not permitted on the property.

  • Is there high-speed internet and Wi-Fi access?

    Complimentary high speed internet and Wi-Fi are available in-room and throughout all public spaces at the resort.

  • Can you smoke at the resort?

    Viceroy Los Cabos is a non-smoking resort. 

    In compliance with the official decree modifying the General Law for tobacco control in Mexico, introduced on Sunday, January 15, 2023, Viceroy Los Cabos would like to assure that the safety and well-being of all guests, team members, and associates are of utmost importance. All public areas of Viceroy Los Cabos have been declared free of smoke from cigarettes, vapes, e-cigarettes, and all other tobacco products.   • Where is the nearest swimmer-friendly beach?

    There are swimmer-friendly beaches just a short trip away where you can experience amazing snorkeling, SUP and swimming. The nearest beach is Palmilla's Beach, located approximately 10 minutes by car from the resort.

    Due to strong currents, we advise against swimming at the beach adjacent to the resort.

  • How far is the resort from the beach?

    The resort is on the beach with rooms and suites offering a variety of scenery including sweeping views of the Sea of Cortez. The pool, restaurant, bar and lounge all overlook the beach and are only steps away.

  • Are there medical facilities onsite or nearby?

    Yes, for your safety, we offer an on-site doctor. There are also several hospitals located in Cabo San Lucas.

  • Is the water safe for drinking? Is bottled water served at the hotel?

    Water is potable but we do not recommend it for drinking. Purified water is served at the hotel and provided at no cost in the guest room.

  • Are outdoor vendors allowed for on-property meetings, events, or weddings?

    Externals vendors for any service that the hotel provides are prohibited, including hair and make-up artists, massage therapists, fitness classes, private chefs, food, and beverage.

    Violators are subject to a $500 USD fee.
