Summer at Snowmass
Snowmass Mountain has plenty of tempting activities to offer during the warmer months. Between the lush greenery, fresh mountain air, and endless alpine vistas, this is the perfect backdrop for outdoor adventure.
Best known for its slopes and family-friendly activities, Snowmass has long been rated one of the best ski areas in North America. At 4,406 vertical feet (14,098' elevation) Snowmass has 3,332 acres of terrain, 94 trails, 20 chairlifts, and access to your choice of cruisers, glades, steeps, terrain parks, and halfpipes. This is winter on Snowmass mountain.
No matter the season, the local attractions in Aspen and Snowmass offer unexpected adventures. Hot air balloon rides are one of the most amazing ways to see the Rocky Mountains, and a tour with one of the guides from Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES) is the best way to experience the wildlife around you. Or head to the Snowmass Rodeo during the summer for fun with the family. There are also wine tours through Paonia, home to some of the highest vineyards in the world.

A fantastic way to see another gem of Colorado is to visit the great wineries of Paonia, home to some of the highest wineries in the world. Ask our concierge about organizing a full-day private tour, which showcases the best of the West Elks AVA, an area home to an eclectic mix of skilled winemakers. Spend the day tasting with a knowledgeable and attentive guide in a breathtaking setting, visit a world class gallery, tour a family-run farm, and enjoy some of the most spectacular scenery in the U.S.A. The scenic 90-minute drive over McClure Pass to Paonia is incredible, and the tour departs directly from Viceroy Snowmass. Lunch at a local restaurant is included.
