A Journey Through Souls and Flavors is a three-day, multi-sensory tribute to Día de Muertos through ancestral rituals, poetic symbolism, and elevated cuisine, all set in a lush, adults-only Caribbean sanctuary.
Rooted in the sacred Mexican tradition of honoring those who came before, this curated experience invites guests to connect with memory and meaning through the timeless elements of fire, flavor, and ritual.

Solferino Gin Tasting by the Caribbean
Guests are welcomed with a guided tasting of Solferino, Quintana Roo’s award-winning artisanal gin, featuring native botanicals and storytelling mixology at Coral Bar, with panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea.

Ritual Altar Creation
Led by the resort’s spa team, guests will co-create a traditional ofrenda, learning the meaning behind each element, from marigolds and candles to food offerings and personal keepsakes.

Día de Muertos Souls & Flavors Dinner by Chef Alejandro Salgado
On November 1, guests will indulge in a refined tasting menu that tells the story of loss and legacy through traditional Mexican ingredients, honoring the essential elements of ancestral cooking. Every course is a tribute to memory. Dinner service begins at 7:00 p.m.

Mayan Ritual Pib Cooking
Guests are invited to witness and participate in the sacred preparation of mucbi pollo, a ceremonial Yucatecan dish made of corn dough filled with chicken, vegetables, and spices, wrapped in banana leaves, and slow-baked underground in a pib oven. Traditionally prepared during Day of the Dead as an offering to honor ancestors, this ancestral recipe embodies both flavor and ritual. Led by Head Chef Alejandro Salgado, the experience unveils the time-honored technique behind one of Yucatán’s most symbolic dishes. Guests are welcome to savor this delicacy later in the evening, served as part of dinner starting at 6:30 p.m.
