Immerse yourself in a unique culinary journey within the Mayan community of Yaxunah. Connect, learn, and share the table with one of Yucatán’s most respected traditional Mayan cooks. Chef Rosalía Chay, internationally recognized for preserving ancestral Mayan culinary techniques, along with her family, invites you into her home to experience the living heritage of Mayan gastronomy.

Guests will participate in the preparation of handmade tortillas, learn the ancient cooking process using a pib, the traditional underground oven, and help create time-honored dishes prepared just as they have been for generations. Set within an authentic Mayan home and surrounded by the jungle, this intimate experience offers a deep connection to origin, time, and tradition.
