Kick off St. Patrick’s Day weekend with a spirited start at Shake Your Shamrocks, the first installment of our brand-new mixology series led by Sayo “Chi” Anise, Beverage Director at Viceroy Chicago and WSET Level 1 wine & spirit certified.
Join us at the beautifully appointed Somerset Level 2 Bar for a hands-on cocktail experience focused on the art of sour-style cocktails—one classic, one festive, both delicious.
You’ll begin with the Gold Rush, a bright and refreshing bourbon sour made without egg white. Featuring KOVAL Bourbon, proudly distilled right here in Chicago, this cocktail offers the perfect introduction to core shaking mechanics and the fundamentals of building a balanced sour.
Next, you’ll craft the Shamrock Sour, a St. Paddy’s–ready green sour made with egg white and featuring Roe & Co. Irish Whiskey. In this portion of the class, you’ll learn the elevated dry-shake method to achieve its signature fluffy top. For guests with allergen or dietary preferences, aquafaba can be substituted seamlessly.
Participants will leave with sharpened mixology skills, festive spirits, and a special gift bag to keep the cocktail magic going at home.
