Wedding FAQ
- An original or court certified Decree Absolute (If either party is divorced)
- An original or court certified Death Certificate (If either party is widowed)
- An original or court certified Deed Poll Certificate (If your name has been changed)
- Passports (valid for a minimum of six months)
- Documents not in English (an authentic translation must be available)
- Please travel with all original documents
Legal residency requirement is 3 full working days; your arrival day, weekends and holidays are not included. Express licenses can be obtained at a cost of $180 additional to your wedding package and are applicable for weekday weddings. Parental Consent (If under 18 years old) by way of an affidavit from a notary public. Note that clear and complete photocopies of the documents will be required prior to travel and the originals are to be presented upon arrival.
Group weddings are available up to 100 people. Group room rates for up to a maximum of 50 rooms and a minimum of 10 can be arranged by contract agreement.
Wedding packages are a supplement to any room rate or meal plan and may not be refunded in any part. The resort reserves the right to amend or delete any of the packaged item/s without prior notification. All prices are subject to change without prior notice. Prices are exclusive of 10% service charge and 10% VAT.
Wedding dates and times should be confirmed at least 3–6 months before the set dates. You have the option of a denominational or non-denominational wedding. The choice of location is yours, whether at our resort or at the nearest church. Approximately one week after your wedding, you will receive a certified copy of your marriage certificate.

Should you wish to obtain a St. Lucian marriage certificate, the state residency requirement for a marriage license is three working days not including the arrival day, weekends, and public holidays. The couple is required to provide a copy of their passport and divorce decree or change of name if applicable prior to arrival. Please travel to St. Lucia with all original or Notarized Legal Documents.

Yes, accommodations are required. The number of blocked rooms to host your wedding with us depends on the size of the wedding and the season.
The cost varies depending on many factors, including the number of guests, the number of nights, and any special requests.
Yes, we are happy to provide you with our recommended vendors. If you decide to bring your own vendors, they must be preapproved by your wedding coordinator and at a fee of $250.00 per vendor.
All food and beverage must be provided by Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort. Corkage fees may apply for specialty bottles brought from outside with previous approval of your wedding coordinator.
Yes, Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort has its own wedding coordinator on-site that will be with you from the moment you sign the contract to when you arrive and throughout your wedding activities.
The town of Soufriere imposes a 10:00 PM noise ordinance.
To secure your date a signed contract and deposit are needed. Then at one month prior to your arrival date, the events and accommodations must be paid in full.
