An Intimate Hideaway

Dirty Habit is your gateway to San Francisco’s wild side. This is where you go to sample exotic cocktails, drink in the sleek atmosphere, and lose yourself in deep conversation. Located in the trending SOMA neighborhood, the fifth-floor hideaway holds a dramatic noir-inspired dining room and a fully heated outdoor patio. Choose from a creative menu of craft cocktails that showcase the bar’s collection of rare brown spirits, and enjoy gourmet lite bites crafted by Chef Thomas Weibull. Go ahead — indulge your Dirty Habit.

In Good Hands

Bar Manager Raul Ayala oversees the creative cocktail menu, extensive bottle selection, and inviting bar culture at Dirty Habit. He was destined to manage a bar, having been born in Tanhuato, Michoacán — just a couple hours from Tequila. Ayala moved to San Francisco when he was 13, and he credits the city’s open-mindedness and diversity as one of his biggest influences. He always strives to infuse the personality and traditions of the Bay Area into the bar program at Dirty Habit. Despite mixing fantastic cocktails, Ayala’s go-to drink is a perfectly paired beer-and-shot combo.

Unwind and Enjoy

Whether you’re relaxing inside on a plush sofa or kicking back outside under the stars, the atmosphere at Dirty Habit is part of the allure. Sleek decor, creative lighting, and a stylish dark color palette set the mood, while unique artworks and statement pieces add to the inventive vibe. The spaces here are perfect for both intimate evenings for two and lively nights out with the squad.

Meet the Chef

The exquisite menus and refined flavors at Dirty Habit are the work of Executive Chef Thomas Weibull. Boasting nearly two decades of experience, Weibull has honed his craft at various fine dining establishments, at upscale hotels, and through his traditional French culinary training. At Dirty Habit, he’s crafted a spectacular menu of New American eats that draw influence from European and Asian cuisines. Enjoy the inventive small plates on offer, designed to pair perfectly with the bar’s specialty brown-spirit cocktails.

Whiskey Hour

The extensive bar menu here features everything from creative cocktails to classic recipes, but the bar’s real pride and joy is its collection of rare brown spirits. Choose your favorite blend or malt, or let the expert bartenders find the perfect whiskey to suit your tastes.

Only for You

Dirty Habit is more than happy to accommodate all your private-event needs. The exclusive rooms here are inspired by the whiskey-making process — with names like Cooper, Blender, and Mashman — and all feature stylish decor that sets a swanky tone. Private rooms accommodate up to 150 guests for dinner and 500 for cocktail receptions. Partial and full buyouts are also available.

Fire It Up

Not to be outdone by the bar menu, the culinary program at Dirty Habit is enough to satisfy the most serious of foodies. Executive Chef Thomas Weibull has crafted a tempting menu of small plates and light bites perfect for a full meal or pairing with a round of drinks. Savor progressive New American cuisine that’s been artfully infused with European and Asian flavors.
