When the snow melts, the fun continues in Snowmass with a plethora of children's activities, golf at the Snowmass Club, hiking, gondola-served mountain biking, horseback riding, fly-fishing and paragliding. Summer festivals celebrate all types of music, as well as wine, art, handcrafted brews and more. The rodeo also comes to town each summer, along with other world-class sports competitions and the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Festival.
Viceroy Snowmass offers a selection of engaging free kids' activities and family activities, including nature walks, catch and release pond fishing, family yoga, sushi-making lessons, poolside ice cream social and arts and crafts in the Generation V Kid's Club.
Located across from Viceroy Snowmass, the $17 million dollar Treehouse Kids' Adventure Center provides year-round Aspen/Snowmass kids' activities, integrating with curated children's activities and family programs at Viceroy Snowmass. Summer and Fall offerings include Camp Aspen/Snowmass, offering daily and weekly programs for ages one through 17 age-appropriate activities include mountain boarding, skateboarding, paintball, nature hikes and mountain biking. Overnight camping trips, horseback riding, an indoor skate ramp and more make Camp Aspen/Snowmass an endless source of family entertainment.
Viceroy Snowmass also helps provide sustainable and educational nature programs through Aspen Center for Environmental Studies, known for more than 40 years for its naturalist field school. One-day and multi-day field courses and workshops are available for kids, families and adults. Daily summertime programs include naturalist-guided works on Snowmass, Aspen, at the Maroon Bells and at Ashcroft Ghost town, sunset beaver walks and more.
Summer art workshops for kids ages six to 12, families and adults are offered at the world-renowned Anderson Ranch Art Center, located one-half mile from Viceroy Snowmass. The week-long Anderson Ranch workshops include ceramics, sculpture, photography, new media, painting, drawing, furniture design and more.
