The sun is very intense due to the high elevation of Snowmass Base Village (over 8,100 feet); we recommend that visitors apply sunscreen with a minimum SPF30 rating whenever outside, even on cloudy days. Additionally, drink plenty of water, and limit consumption of caffeinated beverages and alcohol to avoid dehydration.
