A Culinary Mexico Vacation Experience Like No Other
Our organic cooking classes introduce guests to the art of healthful yet exotic Mexican cuisine. Designed by the Resort's Executive Chef Paco Isordia, the program offers guests a hands-on learning experience that will enhance your wellness experience and allow you to take a piece of your time in paradise back home with you.
The class starts at 9 am in the morning, when you will meet the Executive Chef in the resort’s lobby and then be transported to the town market for an personalized tour. See and learn the Spanish names of the different herbs, spices, fruits and vegetables, while you shop for the local, organic ingredients.
Then back to Viceroy Zihuatanejo to prepare a special dish in a beautiful beachside setting. Whether you participate in preparing the meal or just take notes of the cooking instructions, you can experience voluptuous textures, colors and presentations that characterize the menu and contrast the sparseness more traditionally associated with spa cuisine. Always healthy and fresh, these compositions are also mood – and even sex–drive–enhancing adding allure, playfulness and the unexpected to the pleasures of eating.
Tequila and Ceviche Tasting
Our Maestro Tequilero will reveal the secrets and history of Mexico's signature, age-old liquor, Tequila. The classic spirit will be paired with three creative and delicious Ceviche combinations. Enjoy a tour through the very best with the resort's Tequila Maestro - from the peppery flavor of mid-aged reposados and the woody aroma of agedañejos to the freshness of blancos. Each is accompanied by a different Sangrita to cool and complement. Maestro will discuss the origins of blue agave and share proper drinking techniques. Reservations are required.
