A Culinary Mexico Vacation Experience Like No Other
Our organic cooking classes introduce guests to the art of healthful, yet exotic, Mexican cuisine. Designed by the resort’s Executive Chef Paco Isordia, the program offers guests a hands-on learning experience that will enhance wellbeing and allow you to take a piece of paradise back home with you.
Beginning at 9 a.m., guests are invited to meet Chef Paco in the resort’s lobby and then be transported to the town market for a personalized tour. Stroll through the market bumping elbows with local Chefs and shaking hands of the community farmers. Learn the Spanish names of the different herbs, spices, fruits and vegetables while shopping for local ingredients for the evening’s cooking class. Experience the true culture of an authentic Mexican market where locals and tourists share one common interest, quality ingredients for tantalizing cuisine.
After spending the morning in the local market, head back to Viceroy Zihuatanejo to begin prepping for a special dish in a beachside setting. During this interactive experience, ask Chef Paco for his personal recommendations for seasoned food, his favorite tricks of the trade, or even his latest inspiration for the restaurant menu.
