For those who seek out action, there’s no end to activities in St Lucia at Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort: the sports and fitness facilities are among the best in the Caribbean, and the resort’s activities coordinators make the most of the mountain surroundings.
Regular fitness activities include:
Hiking Gros Piton: At 797m, this is the largest of St Lucia’s twin volcanic cones. Scheduled hikes to the summit are organized each week and considered an island highlight.
Non-motorized water sports: Sea kayaking, snorkeling, hobie cat sailing, windsurfing and even night fishing are all offered in the crystal waters of the National Marine Reserve, just a step from the beach.
Tennis:Two tennis courts are available for your enjoyment, which are also lit for evening games. It is recommended to book the court – your Butler will be delighted to assist you. Titus, our Tennis Pro, offers private classes to improve your skills - $75 per hour (single) or $105 per hour (double). Please ask about family and package offerings.
Bocce Ball: The equipment is available through your Beach Concierge. One may play using the beach setting (near main pool) or the lawn behind beach bar. The Beach Concierge will guide you accordingly.
Beach Soccer: Soccer posts can be set-up - please contact your Activities Coordinator for help to set up.
Badminton Beach Ball: Rackets and balls/feather are available through your Beach Team at the Beach Cabana.
Training: Personal trainers are also on hand to tailor fitness activities to the individual needs of each guest, whether it’s a weight-lifting program in the well-equipped gym or interval training on the hills surrounding the resort.
