    Aspen, Colorado is home to some of the most intense athletes in the world. While biking has always been a popular sport in this area, it has assumed an even higher degree of interest (locally, nationally, and internationally).

    Viceroy Snowmass has partnered with Pros in Motion to offer guests exclusive pricing on guided rides. Pros In Motion are the most sought after, certified snow pros, elite mountain bikers and road cyclists who provide customized training, adventure and pleasure riding experiences in the Aspen Valley. Whether your preference is the road or the dirt, Pros In Motion will take you there. Among the many services they offer, your own private coach will cater to all of your cycling needs during the ride acting as your own personal domestique, assist with bike rentals and gear purchases, provide shipping, bike build and breakdown services and offer training and nutrition advice.     When the snow melts, the fun continues in Snowmass with a plethora of children's activities, golf at the Snowmass Club, hiking, gondola-served mountain biking, horseback riding, fly-fishing and paragliding. Summer festivals celebrate all types of music, as well as wine, art, handcrafted brews and more. The rodeo also comes to town each summer, along with other world-class sports competitions and the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Festival.

    Located across from Viceroy Snowmass, the Treehouse Kids' Adventure Center provides year-round Aspen/Snowmass kids' activities, integrating children's activities and family programs.

    Tour with a Naturalist Guide

    Looking to explore Aspen/Snowmass on your own schedule? Hire an Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES) Naturalist Guide, available by the hour, to lead you on adventures of many varieties. ACES can provide transportation and will even pick up snacks and lunch. Adventures range from educational wildlife tours to strenuous hikes. Basic fees for private, guided hikes are $50/hr per guide.     Disc Golf

    Try your hand at one of the fastest growing sports at the top of the Elk Camp Gondola to Snowmass Base Village. Here you'll find the first — and only — place in Colorado to boast two 18-hole courses. Lift ticket is required for Elk Camp Gondola and golf discs are available for rent at Four-Mountain Sports in Snowmass Base Village and on the Snowmass Village Mall. 

     Disc golf is available on Snowmass daily between 10:30am–3:30pm.

    Run & Gun Paintball

    Join us for a wild game of outdoor paintball! Jun 10 thru September 2 and weekends through the end of September. We provide all the equipment and transportation - you need to wear grubby clothes and sturdy shoes! 
    • Book your own private group of up to 10 or more .
    • Reservations are required and must be made at least 24 hrs. in advance.
    • Trip departs from outside the Elk Camp Gondola ticket office at Snowmass Base Village.
    • $550 for a group of up to 10 players. Additional players are $45 per person. Case of 2000 paintballs is $81.

    On Mountain Dining

    Aspen Skiing Company offers 3 great options for On Mountain Dinners: Burlingame Cabin, Lynn Britt Cabin and Cloud 9.  All the dinner are accessed via snow cat and fun for everyone.

    Burlingame Cabin is a wonderful option for young families on Snowmass Mountain.  You will travel to and from the cabin in a snow cat that will pick you up slope side of the Snowmass Village Mall at 5 pm, enjoy wonderful food served Western, family style and will enjoy live entertainment.   There are sing-a-long’s for the kids and plenty of games for them to play.  The cost per person is $75 per person for adults and $29 for children ages 3 to 11 years.  This snow cat dinner ride is offered Tuesday evenings only and will conclude at approximately 8:00pm.

    Lynn Britt Cabin is an elegant log cabin located on the slopes of Snowmass Mountain, featuring majestic panoramic views of the Snowmass Valley and high peaks beyond.  This is a family friendly event and is available Tuesday and Thursday nights only.  The price per person includes a snow cat ride to and from the cabin, a four-course meal and live entertainment.  The cost is $95 for adults, $55 for children ages 3 to 11 years and free for children ages 2 and under; prices do not include beverages, tax and gratuity.  Enjoy an exquisite Western Mountain dinner prepared by our executive chef while live entertainment and dancing entertain you throughout the evening. You will travel to and from the cabin in snow cats, which pick up slope side at Base Village at 5:45pm next to Sneaky's Tavern.

    Situated at 10 900ft, Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro is the former Highlands Ski Patrol hut.  You will enjoy a romantic gourmet style dinner with a relaxed atmosphere while a cozy fireplace warms the room.   You will meet the snow cat at 5:45pm at the Aspen Highlands base and will arrive at the restaurant at approximately 6:30pm.  The snow cat leaves the restaurant at approximately 10:00pm and will arrive back at the base of Highlands Mountain at approximately 10:30pm.  Not recommended for children.  We advise that you dress warmly as you will be traveling in an open aired snow cat.  The cost is $130.00 per person which excludes beverages, taxes and gratuity and includes a 4 course meal and the snow cat to and from the restaurant.  Cloud Nine is available on Thursday evenings only.

    Hot Air Balloon Rides

    Hot Air Balloon rides are one of the most amazing ways to see the Rocky Mountains from a bird’s eye view. You will fly over mountains for approximately 1 hour and will land in pastures where you will conclude the flight with a champagne breakfast.  You will return to Viceroy at approximately 8:30am – 9:00am which leaves you the entire day to participate in other activities.

    Music Events in Aspen/Snowmass

    When the ski season ends in Snowmass/Aspen the area becomes a buzzing music scene, with festivals and concerts of all genres. Snowmass Village and JAS (Jazz Aspen Snowmass) have joined together since 1994 to offer a summer full of free concerts with a wide variety of musical genres presented, everything from reggae to classical jazz. The concerts are held outside at the end of the Snowmass Village Mall on Snowmass Mountain and are ideal for picnics. At the end of summer, the JAS Labor Day Festival takes place in Snowmass Village. This vibrant festival is renowned for its unparalleled combination of world-class music on three stages and stunning mountain vistas.

    Hiking

    Take the Elk Camp Gondola and Elk Camp chairlift (Friday - Sunday) for stunning views and an amazing network of trails suitable for all levels of hikers, from beginner to expert. Pick up a map from the concierge to plan your route for the day. Let our preferred guiding service take you on a scenic hike just outside of Aspen and Snowmass. We'll help you determine the best hike for you and your party to destinations from Cathedral Lake, Lost Man, Midway Pass, Buckskin Pass, West Maroon Pass, Tabor, New York trail, and more. You'll walk among fields of wildflowers, through Aspen groves and past mountain streams while surrounded by the scenic peaks of the Central Colorado Rocky Mountains. You may see the occasional mountain goat or herd of elks.

    Pine Creek Cook House

    Pine Creek Cook House is located at the base of the Elk Mountain range and the Ashcroft Ski Touring cross-country area has over 21 miles of groomed trails. Guests leave their cars behind at the historic Ghost Town of Ashcroft to cross country ski, snowshoe, or ride the horse drawn sleigh to the Cookhouse. Lunch is served daily from 12:00pm to 2:00pm and the dinner nightly arrival time is at 6:30pm to either ski or sleigh to the Cookhouse.  To start your dinner adventure the choice is yours: either a cross-country ski tour…lantern lit at night, or a trip back in time on a horse-drawn sleigh taking you into the beautiful Castle Creek Valley.  Awaiting you the end of the trail is Colorado log cabin restaurant with glowing fireplaces to warm you, a wonderful selection of hot drinks, fine wines, and an epicurean delight to fulfill the heartiest of appetites.  Winter Dinner is a gourmet four course inclusive meal featuring Buffalo, North American Elk, Venison, and fresh line caught fresh fish all crafted using the finest sourced ingredients.

    Cooking Classes

    M & M Catering and Cooking School offers hands-on workshops designed for people who enjoy eating and drinking, and occasionally preparing a meal themselves.  Their relaxed, informal day and evening classes are taught through interaction with staff instructors or local guest chefs, all served up with a sense of humor and plenty of wine.
