    Learn to Surf LA
    What better way to complete your Southern California vacation than a private surf lesson with some of the most experienced surf instructors in the state. Learn to Surf LA holds lessons year round, just a short walk from the Viceroy Santa Monica hotel, between lifeguard tower 17 & 18 on beautiful Santa Monica beach. The instructors provide students with wetsuits and foam boards to prevent injury. All you need to do is show up and have fun!

    Another local favorite for live music is Harvelle's. Founded in 1931, it's one of Santa Monica's oldest operating clubs. A true Santa Monica gem located just less than a mile from the Viceroy Santa Monica hotel. With live music 7 nights a week, Harvelle's specializes in the best Blues, R&B, Soul, Jazz, Funk, Reggae, Cabaret and Burlesque. Something for everyone!

    The picturesque canals of Venice are one of the seaside community's hidden charms, secreted away from the hustle and bustle of the famous boardwalk. The winding trails offer a leisurely stroll down paths with beautiful homes on one side and the canals on the other. There are quaint wooden bridges to cross back and forth for that perfect picture.

    The Basement Tavern is the latest "speakeasy" to hit the Westside. At this hip cocktail lounge, located on the lower level of the Victorian event space on Main Street, you'll find retro drinks, light bites and live music ranging from indie to reggae The low-slung cocktail bar still teems with regulars on the weekends, but you can enjoy a relaxing midweek drink without much fuss.
