Immigration and Customs at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport:
Immigration procedures at the airport are quite simple. Tourists are given a 30-day visa upon arrival. For extensions you will be required to apply to the Department of Immigration and Emigration in Male. Please note that regulations prohibit the import of pornographic materials, narcotic drugs, firearms, religious material contrary to Islam and any alcoholic beverages, including those purchased at other international airports along your travels. Do check with your local travel agent or embassy prior to your travel for visa requirements.
Transferring from Ibrahim Nasir Airport to the Viceroy Maldives
The Viceroy Maldives is located 192 km from the international airport at Malé. A representative from Viceroy Maldives will welcome you to the Maldives once you clear customs and exit the building. You will be escorted via shuttle bus to our private lounge to await your seaplane to the resort. The seaplane flight is spectacular so be sure to have your camera ready. The flight will last approximately 45 to 50 minutes.
On your arrival day, your international flight must land by 3:15 p.m. Male time in order to be transferred to the resort on the same day of their arrival and on your day of departure the earliest flight leaves the resort around 6.30am Male time and the latest seaplane leaving the island is around 2:30/3:00 p.m. Male time.
