Cameron Steele, Executive Chef at Viceroy Maldives
Born and Raised in Glasgow, Scotland, Cameron Steele leads the culinary team here at Viceroy Maldives. Starting his career in 1995, Cameron specialised in Pastry for the first 12 years of his career, before moving into the Main Kitchen. Having held senior positions in Michelin Star kitchens and world renown 5 star hotels and resorts such as Cameron House Loch Lomond, Sandy Lane Barbados and Four Seasons London, his career has taken him to 9 different countries over the last 19 years and now brings a wealth of international experience to Viceroy Maldives. Cameron is hugely passionate about produce and sustainability, and is in daily contact with the local Lobster and Tuna fishermen in the Shaviyani Atoll, as well as holding long standing connections with some of the best suppliers in the world at Rungis Market in Paris, enabling Viceroy Maldives to have the best of the seasonal crop when it comes to ingredients.
