    Sandy Island

It is quite possibly the most beautiful place one will ever visit.  A popular off island getaway, Sandy Island offers visitors a sensational tropical experience. It’s far away enough for that quintessential Robinson Crusoe feeling, yet close enough to stay connected to the mainland.

With just a little make shift shack for shade, a traditional drum-pan barbecue grill and a cooler stocked with cold beer and wine.  The island's two-man staff entertained boat loads of hungry sun and sea worshippers for many years.

Anchor beyond the reef and dinghy to shore to find a seashell collector's paradise, 360 degrees of powder white sand, fresh crayfish and Lobster, great BBQ ribs, the Best Rum Cocktails and an amazing underwater kingdom for snorkeling. (Snorkeling equipment may be checked out of the resort Sea Centre for usage on Sandy Island.

    Getting There:

From the resort, you’ll need to take a cab or drive to Sandy Ground (20 minute ride). You can take a shuttle or private boat to the island from Sandy Ground and it takes about 10 minutes by boat.

    • Sandy Island Sea Shuttle on every hour : Catch the sea shuttles Happiness, Bliss or Joy from the small pier at Sandy Ground Beach.  Cost $10 per person round trip. Look for the Sandy Island sign at the entrance of the parking lot.  While reservations are preferred, beach walkers and drifters are welcome

    Prickly Pear Cay

Prickly Pear Cay is located six miles north of Anguilla in the Leeward Islands. The Western smaller cay consists of mainly rocky coral and scrub with no easy access to the island. The Eastern Cay has similar terrain on the south side of the island, but once you pass through the passage between the two cays, on to the north side, you’ll be treated to a long, beautiful white sandy beach and to the turquoise waters of the bay, where you can snorkel amongst the coral reefs. The island features two restaurants (very casual) where you’ll dine with your toes in the sand.

    Getting There:

    • From the resort, you’ll need to take a cab or drive to Sandy Ground (20 minute ride). You can take a shuttle or private boat to the island from Sandy Ground and it takes about 10 minutes by boat.  The Sea Shuttle departs every hour.

    Scilly Cay

Scilly Cay is a tiny coral based island offshore from the village of Island Harbour. Its low island vegetation and tiny sand beach made it the perfect spot for a daytime restaurant. The island is owned and operated by Sandra and Eudoxie Wallace who are dedicated to making your stay on Scilly an experience to remember.

The short (5 minute) boat ride to the island delivers you to a tropical paradise. Enjoy rum punches or other tropical cocktails while you wait for your lunch to be prepared fresh off the grill. The lobster and crayfish are the most popular selections and all meals are accompanied by side dishes but it’s the succulent seafood that will linger with you forever. If you are coming to Anguilla, you owe it to yourself to have dine out on Scilly Cay.
