“Ever since I was a young, I wanted to become a Chef”. He started his career back in 1986 completing his studies at the International Hotel School of Jakarta, where he was gaining experience putting late evening hours. After his graduation in 1988, he developed an impressive set of skills that supported him to further develop his passion for the Japanese kitchen. Chef Idfan has over 25 years of experience in Japanese cuisine, with 3 years in the kitchens of the Burj Al Arab and also 3 years at Nobu at the Atlantis, Palm Jumeirah. Chef Idfan brings his energy and personality into his creations. ”When I cook, I am cooking with my heart and soul. The greatest joy is brought to me when I see that my food is making people happy, that they truly enjoy and appreciate the food.”
